Service & Maintanance
We offer you level 1, 2 and 3 support for your fleets/systems. With us, you choose the service that is ideal for your requirements. Our service concept is based on 3 modules – each module has an independent focus. All modules can be combined with one another and complement each other.
Module 1: Service and maintenance for electric buses
Profit from our many years of experience in numerous fuel cell and battery bus projects with various bus and system manufacturers. For your systems, we offer:
- Fault analysis and troubleshooting
- Complex work on the fuel cell/high-voltage system
- Replacement or repair of components
- Recurring fuel cell/high-voltage work
- Preventative servicing
- Fuel cell/high-voltage-independent maintenance
In addition to the service for fuel cell systems and high-voltage components, we offer you gas system installation tests (GSP) and gas system tests (GAP) for your hydrogen system.
Module 2: Documentation and training
Proper technical documentation is the foundation for efficient and safe servicing activities and is also a meaningful business card for customers. We create and optimise your technical operating and work instructions (line to consulting) or support you with questions on technical and regulatory details.
We also prepare your staff for the use of the new vehicles. The technical staff are familiarised with the special features and specific safety measures in relation to high-voltage and hydrogen. Upon request, we will brief drivers and cleaning staff on the new vehicle.
Module 3: Project management and logistics
After the project feasibility consulting, we will be pleased to take additional steps for you, in order to guarantee optimum entry into electric mobility. Depending on requirements, this also includes e.g. the analysis and overhaul of the workshop and depot, temporary start-up support or long-term project support.
Within the scope of the servicing and maintenance, we will also be pleased to look after the warehouse management and continuous spare parts logistics.
Measurement of the hydrogen quality (according to SAE J2719 / ISO 14687 / DIN EN 17124)
For fuel cell applications – particularly in the motor vehicle sector – high demands are placed on the purity of the hydrogen used. The corresponding limit values are defined in the international standards, SAE J2719, ISO 14687 and DIN EN 17124. As an addition to our range of services and in order to ensure that the hydrogen will constantly comply with these limit values for your application, we can offer you a measurement system for online measurement of purity, including remote monitoring and notification in the case of a limit value excess.

Maintenance and repair of the electric drive train of FC buses

High demands are placed on availability with the everyday use of buses. EMCEL ensured the operational readiness of the electric drive system with scheduled maintenance and short-term repair measures.

The technical staff had to be specially trained to carry out work on fuel cells and high-voltage systems. EMCEL organised application-based training courses and took over the training of the customer’s employees.
Maintenance, data and error analysis of FC systems in everyday life

EMCEL carried out maintenance on the fuel cell system at regular intervals and produced test reports for this. In addition, ongoing operational data and errors were analysed and appropriate corrective actions developed where necessary.
